Mount Pearl

Rising on a steep, densely forested slope in the German Alps, this modern cantilevered project appears to float in the air on a sturdy V-shaped steel column, with minimal impact on the landscape. This engineering solution preserves the surrounding ecosystem by minimizing the building's contact with the ground. The monolithic, rectangular minimalist form, a neutral light-toned facade, and vertical wooden laths running along the facade create a perfect visual balance with the surrounding giant pine trees and rocky terrain. Thanks to full-glass panoramic windows, the interior living space opens up completely to the majestic view of the Alps, while the minimalist interior in neutral tones and warm lighting completely erase the boundaries between the exterior and interior spaces.
